ContiSportContact™ 2 has a strikingly clear tread design allowing no compromises. The asymmetrical pattern guarantees maximum ground adhesion in any driving situation. This is ensured by the closed outer shoulder section and the pronounced strips of tread rubber around the tire's circumference. Another benefit of this tread design is that it delivers extremely precise steering response, both on bends taken at high speeds and when driving on the straight.
ContiSportContact™ 2 tire features a newly developed bionic compound. This tread compound consists of two perfectly harmonized networks a flexible one and a firm one. The flexible network ensures maximum transmission of forces between the tire and road surface, while the firm network provides the necessary stiffness for precise handling performance, above all at high speeds.
Thanks to its bionic contour (Advanced Mould Concept), the ContiSportContact™ 2 achieves more uniform ground-pressure distribution and hence greater adhesion than its predecessor.
